Crewe captain Neil Cox will begin training this week after calf, hamstring and back problems kept him out of the first 3 weeks of the season.
Crewe have conceded 7 goals in 3 games in the 34-year old's absence, and have relinquished each of the 5 leads they have taken in that time. However, Cox won't be fit in time for the visit of Bradford this Saturday.
Meanwhile, loanee Danny O'Donnell will come into the side in place of Darran Kempson this Saturday. Although pleased with Kempson's progress so far, Dario believed that mistakes were beginning to creep into the youngster's game, so O'Donnell will be given his chance alongside Julien Baudet.
However, as Cox's injury situation improves, there is bad news for Lee Bell after scans revealed that he has broken a bone in his foot. Dario has said that Bell will be out for the 'forseeable future', so it is vital that Tony Grant improves his fitness in order to provide competition for Gary Roberts and Michael O'Connor.
