Davis: Sarcevic Wanted Out

Steve Davis has revealed that attacker Antoni Sarcevic was the one who sought a move away from Crewe last week.

The 19 year old made a surprise move to Chester on Thursday afternoon, despite only featuring for the first team days earlier.

Manager Davis though says that it was an all too easy decision to let the former Woodley man go after Sarcevic made it clear he didn't want to be at the club.

Speaking to the club's Official Website, Davis said he doesn't want players spreading negativity in camp:

'Antoni didn't want to play for Crewe so I didn't want him around, I didn't want that negativity around the place.

'I'm always a big believer in negativity breeds negative thoughts and I don't want that spreading.'

Sarcevic went on to make his debut for Chester in a 4-0 win over Matlock Town on Saturday. They now sit in 2nd in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier, three points behind table topping Northwich Victoria.
