Oldboys Round-Up

Jonah's Debut Double: Steve Jones continued his fine pre-season form with two goals on his Burnley debut. The forward pounced on an error from QPR keepes Paul Jones to tap home his first, though his second was an impressive left-footed drive into the top corner.

Foz Fails to Play: Steve Foster will have to wait for his Burnley debut as the number 22 was an unused substitute in his side's 2-0 victory.

Bougs Begins Averagely: Madjid Bougherra made an ordinary start to his Sheffield Wednesday career as the number 21 played the whole game, without conceding a goal, but a mistake nearly gifted Preston striker Danny Dichio a goal.

Lunt Lies Low: Kenny Lunt failed to make it off the bench, with Paul Sturrock keen to the number 4 to adapt to Sheffield Wednesday's pass and move style of play.

Moses Makes Good Start: Adie Moses scored on his Lincoln debut in a 1-1 draw with Notts County.

Johnson Jumps Off Bench: Eddie Johnson played the last 10 minutes of Bradford's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. However, the number 9 failed to make a telling impact.

Meanwhile, Justin Cochrane was out injured with a knee cartilage problem.
