Injuries Hit For Cheltenham Trip

We could be travelling to Cheltenham tomorrow evening without two of our in-form players. Both Ashley Westwood and Ajay Leitch-Smith picked up knocks in the 0-1 defeat to Macclesfield on Saturday, leaving them extremely doubtful for tomorrow.

Westwood took a knock to his heel whilst Leitch-Smith is complaining of a hight calf, and Dario is unlikely to risk either of them against third place Robins.

It could mean a first league start for young Antoni Sarcevic in place of Ajay whilst Lee Bell is shoe in to replace Westy in the heart of the midfield.

It's a blow for the Alex against one of the in-form sides of the league, Cheltenham are looking to continue their run of five wins in five games, but it's unlikely we'll be let down by those coming in.

Although Lee Bell was suffering from poor form prior to his injury, there's no doubting he can bring some much needed muscle and experience to the midfield. Sarcevic meanwhile has impressed every time he's been given a chance and nearly helped turn around the game against Macc on Saturday after coming on for the final 20 mins.

Meanwhile, Dario is also hinting at a return to the team for Captain Artell. You wouldn't have thought Carl Martin and Adam Dugdale would have kept Artell out of the side in the summer but some strong performances and an injury to the former Morecambe man has seen Artell watching on from the sidelines for almost two months.

Quite how Dario is hoping to fit Artell in, with both Martin & Dugdale still impressing, is still up in the air. Most likely will see Harry Davis dropped to the bench allowing Matt Tootle to return to right back with Carl Martin filling in the vacant left back slot.

So, looks like a near new look team for tomorrow. Let's hope it produces a different result to Saturday.
