FA Youth Cup Draw
November looks like being a busy cup month. With the Johnstone's Paint Trophy & Cheshire Senior Cup ties already pencilled in, the youngsters will also begin their FA Youth Cup campaign.
The 1st Round Draw was made recently and it will see the Alex visit either Mossley AFC U-18s or North Ferriby United U-18s. The two non-leaguers go head to head tonight in a 7:45PM kick off.
The first round tie is to be played around the first week of November.
The Alex will be hoping to keep up a good record in the Cup in recent seasons. Last season the academy side beat Fylde, Tranmere and Bolton before crashing out on penalties, rather harshly, to Leeds United.
2009-2010 also saw penalty heartbreak. Having beaten Leeds and Bradford, we were ahead a couple of times in a 3-3 at holders Arsenal only to see hopes ended in a 5-4 penalty shoot out win for the Gunners.
