Max Linked With Spurs

Max Linked With Spurs

There seem to be certain landmarks the media have to recognise with a rumour whenever we come across a 'wonder kid'.

Max Clayton's first professional start, watched by some 16 scouts in last night's 1-0 win over Macclesfield, has prompted The Daily Mail to report that Harry Redknapp is on the trail for the 17 year old.

England U-17 international Clayton is already an old hand at these rumours. He was only 14 when the national media picked up that Liverpool were keen admirers, followed up by rumours of million pound bids and Dario kicking off over an apparent illegal approach from the Merseyside club.

It needs little explaining though that the club is in no mood for selling. Dario has reiterated since day one that the club's youngsters will need to be first team regulars at Gresty Road before any offers are even considered.

apart from knowing he is a 17 yr old striker, what else can you tell us about him, I have never seen him before.

He's an exciting young striker, been linked with Liverpool in the national papers since he was 14 which says it all about how highly thought of he is. There's zero chance of him going yet though, Dario is pretty adamant that we get out use out of him before he moves upwards.
