Four Trialists Let Go

Four trialists have been let go by the club this week. Striker Loick Pires has returned to Welling Utd whilst defenders Mat Bailey, Tom Parkes and Jordan Rose leave without being offered extended stays.

Defenders Tom Parkes and Jordan Rose both played in Friday's draw at Nantwich Town but despite impressing fans in attendance Dario has seemingly not seen enough to keep the young pair on.

Parkes, 19, would have only arrived on a loan deal from Leicester but Rose, 21, was a free agent having been released by Stockport earlier this summer. Dario has admitted that both remain in his thinking for a new centre back but says the club 'cannot make any mistakes' in the transfer market this summer.

Pires and Bailey meanwhile are unlikely to be called back any time soon. Bailey's departure was more than expected (or hoped for) by fans after a poor trial period whilst Pires looked nothing more than a 'work in progress' kind of player.

It means the only remaining trialist is now newcomer defender Chris Hogg, who arrived for training yesterday.Four trialists have been let go by the club this week.
