All (But One) Outfield Trialists Released

The summer of frustration continues as Dario has called time on all outfield trialists today.

Josh Gowling, Mark McCammon and, as previously reported, Curtis Haynes-Brown have all left the club after a couple of weeks whilst Dario hasn't invited back any of the Welsh trialists, including Mike Burke, Steve Powell and Leigh Craven.

Mat Bailey and goalkeeper Alan Martin however remain with the club and former Leeds 'keeper Martin is set to play some part in Saturday's home friendly against Wolves.

Whilst there's little point in signing players who aren't good enough, the lethargic approach to this summer has been unbearable from a fans point of view.

Despite releasing several players and seeing our main goal threat leave, we still have yet to add one new name to the squad. The defence is looking ropey to say the least and the attack seems to be relying on Shaun Miller.

Having spent the last two months believing Dario has something up his sleeve, the complete lack of transfer activity so close to the season is starting to become a worry.
