No Joy For In Europe For Alex Youngster

Alex youngster Kelvin Mellor saw his temporary club knocked out the Europa League in the first qualifying stage tonight as IBV fell to a 2-0 defeat at St Patrick's.

Mellor is currently out on loan for the summer to gain experience at the Icelandic club along with striker Jordan Connerton, who looks set for an early return to England next week following trouble with injuries.

Mellor played the 90 minutes alongside former Alex youngsters Ian Jeffs and Matt Garner but despite taking a 1-0 lead to Ireland from the first leg it took just two first half goals to end the Icelandic's European dream.
