Two Trialists Arrive At Crewe

Two Trialists Arrive At Crewe

Two trialists have arrived at Reaseheath to see if they can impress enough to fill a couple of voids in the Alex squad.

Dario will therefore be casting his eye over former Leeds goalkeeper Alan Martin as possible back up to Steve Phillips. The 22 year old has previously played for Motherwell and Ayr, as well as loan spells at Barrow and Accrington. He also has experience in the Scotland U-21's. He left Ayr United earlier this summer after rejecting a new contract in order to return to full time football.

The second trialist is former Colchester left back Curtis Haynes-Brown. The 22 year old pacey defender can also play at centre back and has spent the last few years in the non-league with the likes of AFC Sudbury, Aylesbury and Lowestoft.

This week has also seen former Bournemouth and Gillingham centre back Josh Gowling training with the club but with intense interest from his former clubs Lincoln and Bournemouth, it looks like Dario will have to decide quick.

Finally, Mat Bailey and Steve Jones continue to train down at Reaseheath. Both returned to their old stomping ground this summer in order to keep their fitness up but whilst Dario says it's unlikely there's a full time retune for Jonah, Bailey could well earn a deal - just as Adam Dugdale did last summer.
