Byron Moore has reported for the first day of pre-season training this morning.
Dario had earlier this week said that his want-away winger had seemingly 'vanished' having heard nothing about his decision on a new contract since the final game of the season.
Moore was expected to depart having been linked with a move to League One all summer but as time has slowly run out, it seems any possible deal Moore had lined up has had the plug pulled on it.
You can only presume Moore is now likely to sign that new two year deal, that has been on the table since November, and start the season as an Alex player.
It's hard to weigh up if that'd be a positive or negative for the Alex; Moore is by no means a poor player but are we particularly fussed about keeping a player who has been seeking a move elsewhere for the best part of six months?
It seems like the only reason Moore is potentially remaining a Alex player is due to the small transfer fee (or compensation) riding on him. It's unlikely a non-academy player, or any player over 24, would have been shown such patience.
