Ada Confirmed A Kilmarnock Player

It's finally been confirmed that Patrick Ada has joined SPL side Kilmarnock on a free transfer today.

Ada was not offered a new deal at Gresty Road but left with most fans best wishes after a fairly decent season at the back. He played over forty games last season alone and despite the Alex shipping in their usual obscene tally, Ada still managed to finish third in the Player of the Season vote.

He will probably go down as a cult hero. He came as a Gudjon Thordarson signing, which is never the best endorsement, and seemed to be instantly in Dario's bad books upon Thordarson's sacking. However, he managed to turn opinions around last season with improving performances at centre back and some solid work filling in at right back.

It's fair to assume Dario and Ada didn't really see eye to eye, probably the major contribution to him no receiving a new deal, but some fans will no doubt be using Ada as the bench mark for the incoming defenders this season.

Today Ada signed a two year deal with the SPL club that finished 5th last season.
