Crewe Draw Preston In Carling Cup First Round
Crewe will play Preston North End at Deepdale in the First Round of the Carling Cup in the new season.
The draw, both seeded and regionalised, took place this morning and came up with a couple of crackers for the neutral, including Nottingham Forest v Notts County and Leeds United v Bradford City.
Last season the Alex progressed to the second round with a home victory over Derby County, eventually losing 1-0 in extra time to Ipswich in the second round.
This season's first round will be held at Deepdale the week commencing 8th August.
