Alex Prospect In Wales U-17 Squad

Crewe Alexandra youngster Callum Saunders has been named in the Wales U-17 squad to face Sweden this week.

The youngsters are due to face their Sweden counterparts both tomorrow evening at Buckley Town aswell as Thursday evening at Flint Town United.

Callum, the son of former Wales international and current Wrexham manager Dean, joins up with the squad in a week where three Alex youngsters are already out competing for their nation.

Ben Garratt, Nick Powell and Max Clayton will all be hoping to be in the team as England U-17s face Serbia in today's 4:15pm crunch match. Only a win will keep them in the competition and help them qualify for next month's U-17 World Cup.

Congratulations to Callum on his call up.

Wales Under-17 squad: Alex Lynch (Wrexham), Corey Stephens (Cardiff City), Declan Weeks (Wolves), Declan Dalley (Manchester United), Curtis Watkins (Cardiff City), Curtis Strong (Stoke), Tom Attyeo (Swansea), Miles John (Bristol City), Gethin Jones (Everton), Deion Evans (Tranmere), Tom O`Sullivan (Cardiff City), Jaye Bowen (Cardiff City), Declan John (Cardiff City), Jake Charles (Huddersfield), Rhys James (Cardiff City), Callum Saunders (Crewe), Gethyn Hill (Cardiff City), Bradley Reid (Wrexham).
