'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Vital Crewe Gossip Column Three

It's back! Fresh and ready for a new summer of ins and outs. Find out who's coming, who's not and who never was.

INBOUND:

Gareth Owen - Port Vale - Rejected a contract at Vale Park, Owen is reported to be on the verge of a move to Gresty Road. Link

Jamie Vardy - FC Halifax - The club are known to be keen on the former trialist and are expected to make an offer but there remains a lot of interest from other clubs in the goalscorer.

Astley Mulholland - Flixton - Non-league striker has had trial with club after long term interest.

Ewan Moyes - Hibs - Young defender has been on trial at the club in recent weeks.

James Meredith - York City - Reported to have been interested prior to him signing a new one year deal at the Minstermen. Link

OUTBOUND:

Ashley Westwood - Swansea, Nottingham Forest, Leicester - The young midfielder is reported to have been watched by Championship/Premier League bound clubs with a £250,000 fee mooted.

Nick Powell - Liverpool, Arsenal - The 17 year old continues to receive interest from top Premier League clubs but is certain to remain at Gresty Road.

Shaun Miller - QPR, Portsmouth - Miller is looking like a big money departure this summer with Championship interest intensifying. A £500k fee has been mentioned.

Patrick Ada - Exeter City - Almost certainly leaving Gresty Road once his contract expires, a return to Exeter is on the cards.

Danny Blanchett - Doncaster, Brighton, Scunthorpe, Huddersfield, MK Dons, Crystal Palace, Charlton - Unlikely to remain at the Alex beyond this season, Blanchett has previously been linked to a move up the leagues.

Clayton Donaldson - Crawley, Carlisle, Huddersfield, Bradford, Oxford, Chesterfield - Predictably linked with a host of clubs. Due to discuss club's offer again in coming days.

Dan Smith - Man City - 15 year old academy midfielder linked with a £500,000 move to Man City via The Sun and Daily Mail.

Byron Moore - Notts County - Looks more than likely to snub a new contract in favour of a move to the Magpies. The Alex however will require compensation.
