Crewe smashed Bradford City 5-1 and helped Clayton Donaldson claim the League Two Golden Boot award with a strike against his hometown club.
Donaldson finishing ahead of Lowe in the scoring charts was about the only thing resting on today's game and whilst Shaun Miller initially stole the show with two openers, ClayDo stole the headlines on 34 minutes with a scrappy but priceless strike.
It leaves Donaldson on 29 for the season, 28 of those coming in the league. Not only leaving him League Two top scorer but also top scorer of league goals in all four English leagues.
It tops off a superb season for the former York man who also cemented himself in the Alex history books as scoring the most league goals in one season in Dario Gradi's 28 year reign.
At full time Donaldson celebrated his achievement with the traveling Alex fans. Whether it was a goodbye or not remains to be seen.
