Following Steve Foster and Steve Jones' 'debuts' for Burnley last week, Madjid Bougherra and Kenny Lunt have also made their first appearance for Sheffield Wednesday.
Foster and Jones' 'debuts' came last Saturday in a 3-2 win over local rivals Accrington Stanley. Jonah scored one of the goals as Burnley rescued themselves from a two-goal defecit. Steve Foster impressed and was said to be aerially dominant, whilst Steve Jones bagged a superb goal, suggesting that he might have rediscovered his confidence.
Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday yesterday began their tour of America with a 1-1 draw with Wilmington Hammerheads. Despite an extended break in the game due to severe weather conditions, Kenny Lunt scored an 84th minute equaliser on his first appearance for the club. Madjid Bougherra also impressed at the back.
It appears that Bougherra and Lunt could be in for a good season, though they haven't forgotten what they owe to Crewe. Both were present at Crewe's 3-1 win at Nantwich Town last week.
