Ada Would Like To Stay

Patrick Ada says he would like to remain at Gresty Road beyond the end of his current contract this summer.

The former Histon defender is one of 11 players whose deals are up this summer at Gresty Road. Whilst several Academy graduates have had their deals extended, Ada's future is still up in the air.

Ada told the Official Website that whilst he would like to remain at Crewe, the situation is out of his hands: 'I haven't spoken with Dario yet so we will have to wait and see what happens when the season is over.

'I am 100% committed to Crewe and it is not up to me. I would like to stay because Crewe is a great club and I am settled here. I am proud to have got back into the team and to have played 43 games so far.'

Many fans have argued to give Ada a new deal after his impressive turn around in form this season.

A Gudjon Thordarson signing, Ada found himself at centre back for the whole of Thordarson's final couple of months. However, Dario's re-appointment saw him make just ten appearances between October and May of last season.

This season though has seen Ada remain virtually ever present in the Alex back four, recently converting successfully to right back.
