Crewe Fail In Loan Bid For City Player

Dario has failed to bring in his number one transfer target in on loan from Manchester City after the player turned down the offer.

It's thought that City's reserve centre back Reece Wabara was the man in Dario's sights and the deal for Wabara to join the Alex was all done and dusted between the clubs.

However, it seems a last minute decision from Wabara scuppered the deal for the second and final time.

Earlier this month the loan move fell through after Kolo Toure's positive drug test meant City were short on defensive numbers.

Dario told the Official Website that he had agreed a loan deal with Man City coach and Alex legend David Platt who had also sorted the transfer with Football Administration Officer Brian Marwood, only to be let down by the player himself.

'It was 90% sorted out for the boy to come here and I expected him to come in today, but I received a text message from Platty here saying that the lad didn't want to come.

'His agent thinks that his player can do better than Crewe.

'I won't spend my time trying to persuade agents that they should send their younger players here on loan.'

Ho hum, no room for such players here.
