Adam Dugdale has taken three Vital Crewe Man of the Match awards in a row following his performance against Southend.
Many would have scoffed at the idea Duggy coming into the side and holding his own just a few weeks ago but the Scouse centre back has been in superb form since replacing Matt Tootle in the back four.
His solid performance at home to Southend on Tuesday earned him an impressive average rating of 8.9 on the Vital Crewe player ratings, voted for by fans. His closest competition was the pre-vote favourite in Danny Shelley with an average of 8.0, who, despite only playing 45 minutes, arguably helped turn the match into an Alex victory.
Third in the vote was Patrick Ada with an average of 7.0 as he continues his brilliant form despite playing out of position at right back.
The wooden spoon rather harshly ends up in the hands of Luke Murphy with an average of 4.5. Whilst Murph struggled in the first half he did have an excellent second half after moving from out wide into the centre of midfield.
