Taylor In Wales U-21 Call Up

Rhys Taylor has been called up for the Wales Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier at the end of the month.

The Chelsea shot stopper has become a regular in the Under-21 squad having previously been capped at U-17 and U-19 levels.

Wales U-21s face Andorra in a UEFA Under 21 Championships qualifier in Andorra on Tuesday March 29th. The call up shouldn't mean Taylor misses any games, though the Alex do face Hereford away on Sunday 27th.

The Railwaymen have already seen call-ups for youngsters Ben Garratt, Max Clayton and Nick Powell, who will be away with the England U-17s in the same week.

Wales U21s squad: Rhys Taylor - Chelsea (on loan at Crewe Alexandra), David Cornell - Swansea City (on loan at Port Talbot Town), Daniel Alfei - Swansea City, Tom Bender - Colchester United, Troy Brown - Ipswich Town, Paul Dummett - Newcastle United, Ashley Richards - Swansea City, Adam Matthews - Cardiff City, Joe Allen - Swansea City, Billy Bodin - Swindon Town, Lee Lucas - Swansea City, Joe Partington - AFC Bournemouth, Jonathan Williams - Crystal Palace, Ryan Doble - Southampton, Elliott Chamberlain - Leicester City, Robert Ogleby - Heart of Midlothian, Jake Taylor - Reading, Jake Cassidy - Wolverhampton Wanderers.
