Connerton Returns To Dabbers Following Injury

Jordan Connerton resumed his loan spell at Nantwich Town yesterday and was back on the score sheet.

The former Lancaster striker netted three goals in five games for the Evo-Stik side before a bad injury on February 12th saw him sidelined for two weeks, requiring seven stitches in cuts around his eye.

Returning to action yesterday, Connerton scored what turned out to be a consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat at Burscough.

The 21 year old signed for the Alex last summer for a small fee after making a name for himself by netting a staggering 38 goals for Lancaster last season.

He's certainly one to keep an eye out for with his loan spell only part of his development at the club, with the likes of Ajay Leitch-Smith and Shaun Miller previously reaping rewards from such loan spells.

Meanwhile, midfielder Lewis Short returns to the Alex after his three month loan at Kevin Street's Dabbers came to an end.
