Taylor and Ajay Back In The Side

Taylor and Ajay Back In The Side

Despite a solid performance last week from Steve Phillips, the former Bristol Rovers man will not keep his place between the sticks with Dario confirming the return of Rhys Taylor for Tuesday nighty following his one match suspension.

Dario's decision to leave Phillips out in the cold once more comes as no surprise but remains controversial, with Phillips looking likely to leave in the summer once his contract expires. With Taylor also set to return to Chelsea it'll leave the Alex, once again, short of a decent number one.

Meanwhile, Clayton Donaldson's replacement up front is likely to be Ajay Leitch-Smith. The 20 year old kept Donaldson out of the side when he made his only two professional starts to date back in September before injury saw him lose his place.

Dario is now set to give Leitch-Smith another shot up front with in form Shaun Miller whilst Donaldson serves his suspension.

There could be also a return to the side for Joel Grant with the news that Byron Moore is likely to be out of tomorrow's game with personal issues. Grant though does face competition for the spot from 16 year old Nick Powell though, who is looking for his first league start after 12 sub appearances this season.
