Trio of Trialists Taken on Trip

Dario Gradi has included 3 trialists in his 24-man group for the trip to Portugal. Goalkeeper Scott Davies and defenders Darran Kempson and Marcel McKie have been included for the trip, thus allowing them a good chance to earn a permanent deal with the club.

Youngsters Mark Roberts, Paul Bignot, Rob Lloyd, Michael O'Connor and Nicky Maynard have been included in the 24, though there is no place for 6'7 striker Mat Bailey. Meanwhile, Ben Rix has been included for the trip, representing a surprising turn around for the player who looked destined to leave the club at the start of the summer.
