Crewe Host Leeds In FA Youth Cup 4th Round

Leeds United will visit Gresty Road for the Fourth Round of the FA Youth Cup.

After seeing off Fylde, Tranmere and Bolton in the previous three rounds, the young Railwaymen have a chance to progress into the real nitty gritty rounds of the competition. Leeds, meanwhile, saw off Scunthorpe in their 3rd round tie with a comfortable three-nil victory.

Nick Powell & co will of course have to win a couple more games before they better the club's best performance in the competition. That came back in 2000 when a 16 year old Dean Ashton led academy side romped their way to the Quarter Final stage before falling to a late Southampton goal at Gresty Road in a 2-1 defeat.

No date has been set for the home tie against Leeds but you can probably expect it to take place mid-January with tickets somewhere under-£5.
