Carl Martin Is Back

Remember Carl Martin? Well he's fit again.

After months and months out with a shin injury, the former Wealdstone defender has finally returned to full training this month and will be looking to train his way back into Dario's plans for the new year.

The last we saw of him was back in April after an eventful few months for the Gudjon Thordarson signing which saw him make his league debut, get sent off, get a public bollocking for being sent off and then his first professional goal (it was a consolation in a home defeat to Cheltenham, however).

Regardless, he did put in some impressive performances at full back and even centre back, although only one of his six appearances thus far has been a start.

It'll be good to see him back in the mix, offering some much needed options at full back, though Dario says his first objective is to just stay fit!

DG told the official website: 'His first objective is to stay fit and then we will see if he is good enough. I consider him to be an extra at the moment because he hasn't been fit for any length of time.

'He has played in the team before, is very strong and athletic and to his credit he has worked very hard to come back.'
