Matt Tootle In Team of the Week

Matt Tootle has been named in this week's team of the week after his performance in the 2-0 win at Southend on Saturday.

Toots has been in good form this season after reverting to his natural position at right back in the summer. Arguably an early contender for Player of the Season, the 20 year old hasn't yet been in the first team for 12 months!

His solid defending has impressed almost as much as bombing runs into the opposition half, though he remains just one of two outfield players in the starting 11 without a goal this season - the other being fellow full back Danny Blanchett.

Toots is just in this week's TOTW, chosen by the Press Association for the Football League, by former Alex midfielder Steven Schumacher and rumoured summer target Exodus Geohaghon. Former Alex keeper Ben Williams, now at Colchester, was named in the League One team

This week's TOTW:

Julian (Gillingham), Tootle (Crewe), Ford (Chesterfield), Geohaghon (Rotherham), Sadler (Shrewsbury), Syers (Bradford), Schumacher (Bury), Bolland (Macclesfield), Zebroski (Torquay), Davies (Chesterfield), McKenzie(Northampton)

Railwaymen named in TOTW this season:

Matt Tootle vs Southend - 16/10/2010
Lee Bell vs Chesterfield - 02/10/2010
David Artell vs Oxford - 25/09/2010
David Artell & Luke Murphy vs Bury - 11/09/2010
David Artell, Matt Tootle, Clayton Donaldson vs Barnet - 21/08/2010
