McKie to Move?

McKie to Move?

Crewe have taken Tottenham left-back Marcel McKie on trial with a view to a permanent deal. Crewe are currently without a recognised left-back following Anthony Tonkin's release, and Dario had intended to play Darren Moss at left back.

21-year old McKie has been handed a free transfer by Tottenham and has been recommended to Dario by the departing Justin Cochrane. Dario has agreed to take the full-back on trial following a good report from Tottenham, who suggested that the full back would be capable of playing Championship football.

McKie has represented England youth at various levels, and has been described as 'athletic' by Dario, who also revealed that the full-back is likely to travel to Portugal with the squad for the pre-season training camp.

Dunno whether he's any good or not, but I was sat in a hotel in St Albans on Monday night when he was having the discussion. A Spurs fan who I work with has never heard of him.
