Academy Side Defeat Table Topping Wanderers

Crewe's Under-18 academy side ended a run of three games without a win by beating top of the table Bolton at Reaseheath on Saturday.

Striker Harry Clayton got his third of the week and seventh of the season in the final moments of the game just as it looked to be heading to finish a bore draw.

There were few chances in the game with the best falling to Bolton's Odelust, who could only put the ball wide having got the better of 'keeper Ben Garratt.

It was to be Bolton's first defeat of the season whilst the Alex will be hoping to put a run of results together with a trip to bottom side Stoke next week.
