Carlisle Away In The JPT
Crewe have been drawn with Carlisle United away in the the Area Quarter Final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
After beating Macclesfield convincingly on Tuesday evening there was hope for another 'easy route' into the area semis - we didn't get it. Carlisle currently sit 4th in League One and are the highest placed Northern side still in the competition.
We can take some hope from the fact Port Vale only just let slip a 2-0 lead in the last round at Brunton Park, eventually losing 4-3 on penalties.
The tie will be placed the week commencing November 8th at Carlisle's Brunton Park.
