'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Still A Place For Foz!

During his weekly press conference, boss Dario Gradi has admitted he would love to keep hold of central defender Stephen Foster, yet doesn't actually expect him to be playing in Crewe next season.

Foster has however, rejected offers of a new contract and is set to join the likes of Lunt and Walker out of the Gresty Road door.

Dario G Says:
'He will be a free transfer and I fully expect him to go his own way this summer and move on but nothing ever surprises me and I'm not totally ruling him out. He is still training with us and I've already said that he would be keen to keep him, if he wanted to stay.'

The most interesting point about it all however is that DG admitted he hasn't spoken about it as he fully expects Foster to leave. Which doesn`t really make sense? If he wants Foz to stay, surely it would be better to mention that to him? No?
