'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We've told you, the kids are going nowhere!

Arsenal and Liverpool will have to wait because Dario says that 16 year olds Nick Powell and Max Clayton are going nowhere fast.

Reiterating the club's position on the sale on young talent, Gradi says that unless the player is guaranteed first team football at their new club then the move is a no go.

It comes after a few days of speculation regarding Nick Powell's and Max Clayton's future, with tabloid reports linking them with January moves to Arsenal and Liverpool respectively.

As Crewe fans, we know full well how little truth in the reports there actually is, we've seen it all before with various youngsters down the years. And let's face it, £2million for Nick Powell is nothing short of an insult at the moment.

Speaking to the official website, Dario rebuffed all the media speculation in one fell swoop. Mind you, he gave the same interview in June but it seems very few listened.

'Unless any one of my players is going to move and play in the first team, I will not even listen to offers.

'If a club rings me and wants to talk, then I will ask - is he is going to play in your first team, and that's not just Nick it's anyone, if the answer is no then the conversation stops there and I'll say come back to me when he is.

'I will not sell one of the boys to go and sit and play reserve football, they are as good here playing in our first team.

'I don't know if it is paper talk surrounding Nick, but it wouldn't even go as far as discussing money.'

So there you go. Report that, generic football news websites.
