Two Railwaymen In Team of the Week

Two Railwaymen In Team of the Week

David Artell and Luke Murphy have both been included in the League Two Team of the Week.

The only surprise is that Lee Bell missed out!

Artell is named after another dominating display at the centre of the Alex defence. He helped limit Bury to pretty much zero goal scoring chances, denying them so much as a corner. Murphy, meanwhile, netted the third and final goal of the afternoon with a absolute rocket into the top left corner.

It is Artell's second 'appearance' in the TOTW having previously been chosen following the 7-0 win over Barnet alongside Matt Tootle and Clayton Donaldson.

This week's 11, chosen weekly by the Press Association for the Football League, also includes former Alex players Gary Roberts and Colin Daniel. Both netted for their respective clubs, Port Vale and Macclesfield, on Saturday.

The team in full:

Joe Anyon (Lincoln City)
Jonathan Bateson (Accrington Stanley)
David Artell (Crewe Alexandra)
Andy Gallinagh (Cheltenham Town)
Andrew Holt (Northampton Town)
Dave Syers (Bradford City)
Luke Murphy (Crewe Alexandra)
Gary Roberts (Port Vale)
Colin Daniel (Macclesfield Town)
Shaun Harrad (Burton Albion)
Tyrone Barnett (Macclesfield Town)
