Taylor Signs For The Season

Goalkeeper Rhys Taylor will remain on loan at the club until the end of the season after Crewe Alexandra and Chelsea agreed to extend the loan deal.

The 20 year old originally signed as cover for the injured Steve Phillips but after an impressive first month to the season Dario signalled his intentions last week to keep the Welsh U-21 international at the club.

His original loan deal was due to expire on Wednesday but, under the new agreement, Taylor will now sign on loan till April 21st with an emergency loan coming into effect after that.

It's now going to be a great fight between very good keepers in Taylor and Steve Phillips for the number one shirt.

Phillips, who signed a two year deal in the summer, is due to return to action later this month having signed under the impression he'd be first choice this season. But Taylor, Vital Crewe's Player of the Month for August, is not looking likely to give up his place between the sticks any time soon.

Who would you choose as number one?
