'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Supermarket Man Gets His Own Stand

The club have found a new sponsor for the Gresty Road End and it comes in the form of one solitary fan: Mark Price.

Who's Mark Price then? Well, he's the Managing Director of Waitrose supermarket of course.

Born and brought up in Crewe with his dad previously owning a corner shop in the centre of the town, Mark has been an Alex fan for over 40 years now. After working for the John Lewis Partnership for nearly 20 years, Mark was appointed Managing Director of the supermarket in 2007.

According to the club website, Mark has decided to sponsor the stand to mark his 50th birthday and as a way to give something back to the town. And what a great thing it is to see from an obviously avid Alex supporter!

The stand has been re-named 'The Mark Price Stand'. Probably not the best name for a football stand in the world but let's not be fussy.
