New Vice Chairman Steps In At Gresty Road
Majority shareholder Norman Hassall has stood down as Vice Chairman of Crewe Alexandra.
In a statement on the club's official website, it was stated that Hassall would no longer act as Vice Chairman due to being unable to attend games on a regular basis. Hassall currently has the largest stake in the club out of the current board of directors.
David Rowlinson has now been appointed the new Vice Chairman of the club, with John Bowler remaining as long term Chairman.
Rowlinson joined the board in 1979 whilst his brother Jimmy is a more recent appointment to the board of directors following the passing of their father, Norman Rowlinson, in 2006. With a 24% stake in the club, Norman Rowlinson steered the club through it's roughest patches and was the man who appointed Dario Gradi as manager.
