Assistant Academy Director Terry McPhillips and Sports Scientist Mick Court will depart this summer. McPhillips has been Steve Holland's understudy working with the academy. The former Liverpool forward resigned last week, having failed to settle with his young family in the area, resulting in a commute from Liverpool every day.
Sports Scientist Mick Court, meanwhile, leaves Crewe to join Adie Boothroyd's Watford. Court has been involved in innovative video analysis techniques, designed to aid player's understanding of where they need to improve. Dario was rueful of Court's departure, insisting he'd be hard to replace, 'He'll be difficult to replace because he is something of a trail blazer in his field and I don't think there are many like Mick around in this country.'
