O'Donnell Looks To Earn 'Dale Contract

Ex-Alex defender Danny O'Donnell is hoping to earn a contract with newly promoted League One Rochdale after joining them on a trip to Spain.
O'Donnell was released by the Alex in May having had a poor three years at the club. After signing for a fee worth up to £100k from Liverpool in 2007, O'Donnell went on to make over 70 appearances for the club but failed to progress to be the dominant centre half the club were searching for, with the Alex conceding a disastrous 220 goals in three years
Dario's faith in the 24 year old even dwindled towards the end of last season after a string of poor performances in March saw the Scouser sit out the final month of the season before officially being released at the end of his contract.
However, he could yet move up a level having joined League One Rochdale on a pre-season trip to Spain last week in the hope of securing a contract at Spotland.
