Morecambe Man McCready Backup

Crewe boss Dario Gradi has identified Morecambe defender Darran Kempson as a possible replacement for Chris McCready, should McCready reject his new contract. The 6'2 centre back has impressed for Morecambe since signing from Preston in the summer of 2005.

21-year old Kempson begun his career as an academy graduate at Preston, and after a loan spell at Accrington Stanley, Kempson joined Morecambe following a successful loan spell.

However, it seems likely that Chris McCready will sign his new deal upon his return from holiday.
