Crewe Chase Free Agent

Dario Gradi is trying to sign an out-of-contract defender, whose name cannot be revealed. Following the players' release from his club at the end of last season, Dario Gradi was made aware of his availability whilst on a scouting trip at Wales U21's 5-1 victory over Estonia U21s. Dario phoned the defender the morning after Crewe were rejected by Jamie McCombe, and talks are believed to have progressed since then.

Gradi's efforts to bring a centre half to the club have been fruitless as yet, though Dario admits the players are out there somewhere, 'The players will be out there somewhere and we still have time to bring in the players we need to improve the eam for next season.'
