Exodus Geohaghon Interesting The Alex?

Peterborough United defender Exodus Geohaghon is reported to be in talks with Crewe over a possible move.

The 6ft 6in defender has been made available by Posh, recently relegated from the Championship, just months after he signed a 3 year deal with the club.

The 25 year old has risen through the leagues through his career. Starting at Sutton, he's also played for Bromsgrove and Redditch. He joined Conference side Kettering in 2008 where he went on to make over 60 appearances.

After capturing the eye of former Peterborough boss Mark Cooper, Geohaghon was signed on loan by Posh in November before making his move permanent in January.

Originally a towering centre back, former Posh boss Jim Gannon converted Geohaghon into a holding midfielder, though it's likely the Alex are looking at him as a potential centre back. He also has a useful long throw in his locker - though what use a long throw is when the tallest man on the pitch is taking it, unsure.

With relegation back to League One and a new manager in Gary Johnson, Geohaghon is surplus to requirements at Peterborough who are now allowing him to look for a new club.

Earlier this week, Peterborough's chairman Barry Fry confirmed that an unnamed League Two club were talking to Geohaghan but says that his club will want a fee for him.

'I've spoken to two league clubs about Exodus and he is having talks with one of them himself.

'We will certainly be looking for a fee for him as well as a good sell-on clause.'

If Geohaghon signs he will become the club's third signing of the summer after non-league capture Antoni Sarcevic and the return of Lee Bell.
