A host of new pre-season friendlies have been announced for this summer, including a visit from Wrexham and West Bromwich Albion.
The team will be kicking things off in less than 8 weeks with a double header, two Alex sides being sent to Quorn and Kidsgrove on Monday 12th July.
A trip to Lancaster City has been arranged for the following Friday as part of the deal that brought young striker Jordan Connerton to Gresty Road.
Things start hotting up after that with West Brom visiting Gresty Road on Tuesday 20th July and Walsall a week later. A trip to Nantwich Town is sandwich inbetween.
Surprisingly, non-league Wrexham will be the visitors on Saturday July 31st. The Alex visited the Racecourse Ground back in 2008 under Steve Holland for a friendly with the lower league side usually playing hosts.
The final game of the pre-season will be a trip to Kidderminster Harriers the Monday before the season gets under way.
