Legzdins To Start Against Accy

Young back up keeper Adam Legzdins will get just his chance to shine as Dario looks to give more fringe players a chance.

With very little riding on the remaining three games, it was a matter of who Dario would give a chance to for the remainder of the season.

The most obvious choice was always Legzdins. Having impressed at the start of the season with a series of games he was harshly dropped upon the arrival of Steve Phillips from Bristol Rovers on a long term loan.

Having not played since the end of October, when he kept a clean sheet at Cheltenham, Legzdins will go between the sticks for tomorrow's home game against Accrington Stanley.

It allows Phillips time off having played with a long standing shoulder injury in recent months. Whilst the injury will means Phillips will require an operation, Dario says he is hopeful that it isn't the last we've seen of the 31 year old.

Set to be released from Bristol Rovers in the summer, all signs point to Phillips putting pen to paper on a contract at Gresty Road, and should be fit in time for kick off in August.
