Crewe Linked With League Two Duo

Reports suggest that the Alex are looking to bolster in the two positions we probably shouldn't be concerned with right now.

Two rather vague reports from Sky Sports suggest that Crewe are targeting Accrington Stanley's loan striker Billy Kee along with Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown.

The reports say that Crewe, along with Tranmere and Notts County, are watching Leicester's Billy Kee, who's currently on loan at Accrington. Kee is expected to depart Leicester this summer and having made an appearance on the bench for the Northern Ireland squad this season, he could yet be a one to watch.

His stats however are not too impressive, having scored just six goals in 40 appearances for Accrington this season, whilst the Alex can claim a relatively strong strike force with Zola, Donaldson and Miller helping the club net he 6th highest tally in the league.

Meanwhile, another supposedly on the Alex's radar is Cheltenham's keeper Scott Brown. The highly rated shot stopper is also interesting the likes of Doncaster, Plymouth, Swindon and Oldham and been in impressive form for the Robins despite their lowly 20th position in the league.

However, with current loan keeper Steve Phillips expected to sign a permanent deal in the summer, it'd be surprising if any move for Brown came to fruition.
