Micky Adams: Get a life, Dario!

The Vale manager has taken it to heart that Dario Gradi MBE proved him, his team and his fans completely wrong in last week's penalty debate.

Micky Adams, of Leicester City fame, was shut up by Dario Gradi MBE earlier in the week when Dario was able to provide video evidence that proved referee Chris Sarginson was correct to award a penalty to the Alex last weekend.

After being criticised by Adams, Vale fans and Vale supporting media, Chris Sarginson apparently apologised to Adams - or perhaps felt sorry for Adams?

Dario though forwarded on the video evidence to the referee's association to back up Sarginson, who was targeted over Facebook by those lovely Vale fans.

Despite Micky Mouse being of no concern to Dario this week, the fact Dario Gradi MBE actually analyses games of football - like any talented manager would - has really rankled Adams.

He told The Sentinel:

'My reaction is 'get a life, Dario'.

'The ref apologised, that will do me. I'll move on. But that's Dario, isn't it? He's got too much time - I've got a life.

'I wish I had the time to do that. I go and watch games of football, scout while Dario sits at home with his video machine.

'I know who I'd rather be. I'd rather be Micky Adams than Dario Gradi.'

He's about the only person who'd want to be a nobody at Port Vale over one of the most respected managers in English football.

It's unfortunate that these no mark managers will do anything to get their name in the paper alongside a footballing great.
