Let's sign up Phillips

A massive 64% said Steve Phillips would be their first choice signing out of the current crop of loan players.

The Bristol Rovers keeper has been on loan at Gresty Road since November and last week spoke of his desire to remain at the club in the summer. His case was helped with a good penalty save against Notts County on Saturday in a match he remained solid throughout despite the Alex losing 1-0.

The poll which ran for five days saw Simon Walton get 20% of the vote. Walton is currently on a season long loan from Plymouth but after 22 starts for the club he finds himself on the bench behind the likes of Bailey, Westwood and Schumacher.

Interestingly only 10% believe none of the current loanees should be signed on long term deals in the summer.

4% went for young Leicester defender Harry Worley whilst 2% voted for new boy Chris Stokes.

A new poll is now up asking if you are going to the match on Saturday. You can vote on the poll which is found on the right hand column to this article.
