Dario: Miller Needs More Time

Dario insists Shaun Miller could one day 'become a real player' and all that is needed is time.

It seems that very little can budge from Dario's blue eyed boy from the team. Three goals in the last 13 matches and a missed penalty late in the game against Torquay for the nippy striker has hardly had the division quaking in its boots.

The 22 year old has been in the starting line up for much of 2010 so far and despite the fitness of top scorer Calvin Zola and the form of Clayton Donaldson, who has four in his last three games, Miller will continue to get the nod from Dario.

Already stating this season that he believes Miller to be the club's best and most natural goal scorer, Dario says that given time Miller may well follow in the foot steps of the likes of Dele Adebola and Nicky Maynard.

Speaking to CreweAlex.net, Dario said:

'I have been saying for a number of years that I think Shaun can become a real player. I was always thought that he would be the replacement for when Nicky Maynard left.

'Sooner or later we will run out of time but Shaun is showing really good signs that he could be a potential match winner for us.

'You sometimes have to stick with them because you know what they can do. It has happened in the past with the likes of Gary Blissett and Dele Adebola.

'Sometimes it does take a bit of time and Shaun falls into that category.'
