Westy Ruled Out For Torquay Game

Golden boy Ashley Westwood has been ruled out of tomorrow's trip to Torquay with an ear infection.

The 19 year old has been in fine form this season, his first real season in the first team, and all signs suggest he's on his way to becoming the next off the 'production line'.

After 30 appearances for the club this season, Westy has recently been picking up a host of man of the match and player of the month awards after adding more goals to his game, with three in his last five appearances.

He was expected to move from his more comfortable midfield role and cover at left back for tomorrow's game at Torquay but an ear infection has got the better of him, leaving Dario needing to acquire Chris Stokes from Bolton to fill in at left back.

It's likely this news means a return to the side for loanee Simon Walton, who was dropped for Tuesday's 4-2 win against Grimsby.
