Patrick Ada Snubs Rushden Loan Move

Alex defender Patrick Ada has rejected a loan move to Blue Square Premier side Rushden and Diamonds.

The former Histon man had previously asked for a spell away from the club having seen himself out of the side under Dario's reign as manager.

Signed under Gudjon Thordarson, Ada has made just five appearances since the Iceman's departure, the last coming in the 3-2 defeat at York City in November.

This week Rushden offered to take Ada on a initial one month loan as they lie in the play-offs spots in their fight to return to League football.

There hasn't been much interest in Ada since he was made available for loan so no-one was more surprised than Dario when Ada spurned the move this week.

Speaking to crewechronicle.co.uk, Dario said:

"Patrick was pestering me to go. He was virtually on his knees begging. I thought he`d thank me when I said he could go to Rushton for the rest of the season.

"I think there must be financial implications for him somewhere along the line. I was surprised but he remains a Crewe player."
