Zola Lined Up For Lincoln Return

Zola Lined Up For Lincoln Return

Top scorer Calvin Zola could be back in the side for tomorrow's trip to Lincoln City.

The former Tranmere forward has missed the last few games after hobbling off at Rochdale with a hamstring injury. Thankfully Calvin returned to training yesterday and has declared himself fit for tomorrow's game at Lincoln.

Zola has 16 goals to his name so far this season and has gone from boo boys favourite to fan favourite, a vital part of the Alex side.

Despite earlier suggesting that he will stick by his academy pairing of Moore and Miller, Dario told the official website, crewealex.net, that Zola's performances in training this weeks may have won him a spot in tomorrow's side.

If Zola played liked he trained yesterday then he would be a top striker. He was excellent and given me food for thought. Clayton Donaldson was the same too. He looked a terrific player as well playing two touch.

'If he feels ready then I would be prepared to take a risk with Zola. His movement, passing and finishing were exceptional. He was excellent.

If the £200k man is to make a return to the side then he's likely to replace Shaun Miller up front, Miller was pulled off in the second half yesterday after [yet another] disappointing performance.
